Registration is required prior to the event by 16th February 2022 (numbers limited).

Location - Walkervale State School Walkervale Bundaberg, entry by Crawford Street off Sims Road through gate to carpark. Held in School Hall.

Food van available for Participants to purchase lunch. (Morning tea not provided)

Dean Haley will be available to sign his newly released and highly sort after book “The Honey of Australian Native Bees”.

Honey permitting there will an ice cream and honey taste at the conclusion of the event.

2 hour presentations by:

Sarah Hamiltonof Bee Yourself, is a Meliponist (aka Stingless beekeeper). Based in Brisbane she runs successful beekeeping, consulting and educational services all over the east coast of Australia.

Matthew Middleton, of Beezotted, a stingless bee company based in the Sunshine Coast, Queensland founded by Matthew. As well as educational workshops, BeeZotted provides several stingless bee species in boxed, natural log and sculptured hives, services and advice, new bee boxes, and stingless bee products such as wax and propolis.

Dean Haley, Past President of Brisbane Branch ANBA, Author of the recently released book “The Honey of Australian Native Bees”, Member of the Australian Native Bee Association. Dean has “an experimental frame of mind, so tends to do a bit of informal experimentation with stingless bees. It's a hobby and he considers it fun. He gets a little honey which he shares with friends. He sells a few beehives set up so people can see inside & really enjoy them”.
